This sauce is based on an ancient recipe from the island of Pantelleria. It is slightly spicy because, in addition to capers, dried tomatoes and green olives, the sauce is also seasoned with anchovies and chilli peppers. Delicious in itself on bruschetta, focaccia or as a topping on a sandwich with fresh tomatoes or simply on a good pasta. A spoonful on a salad gives that extra special taste.
