Le Tre Colonne's Classic extra virgin olive oil is a blend of two typical Apulian varieties, coratina and ogliarola, grown in the area of Agro di Giovinazzo and are harvested in December with mechanical aids. They are processed in the mill within 24 hours of harvesting, using the two-phase continuous cycle system.

Classic extra virgin olive oil has a golden colour with green hues and a bouquete of light herbaceous notes. The palate is medium fruity with balanced spiciness and bitterness.

The bag-in-box is a relatively innovative packaging solution for storing olive oil. The inner pouch ensures that there is no quality deterioration between the first and the last drop of olive oil, even after several months of use. Thanks to the vacuum, the olive oil remains protected from oxidative processes, partly from heat and completely from light.

In Hungary, this packaging became very popular when they started selling organic fruit juices this way. One bag-in-box is equal to 10 bottles, so it saves the environment from 5 kg of glass waste and the unit price is also significantly lower.

Tip: If you use the olive oil every day, pour a smaller portion into a glass bottle that can be easily washed and closed. If the bottle is empty, it is important to wash it thoroughly and dry it before the next use.

Special, high quality olive oils are not for cooking! There is only one reason for this: they are too valuable to sauté onions in them. These oils are more like spices, they are used to be the final touch on the dishes.

Use them on soups, pasta, salads, fish and meat, or simply as a dip for a good bread.

Attention! Never keep extra virgin oil in a transparent bottle or without a cap for a long time, because the quality of the oil can be deteriorated by light and oxygen!
