Scuppoz Ratafià is a traditional liqueur from Abruzzo, crafted from Montepulciano d'Abruzzo red wine and succulent sour cherries. Rich in character and steeped in history, this elegant Italian liqueur combines the depth of regional wine with the vibrant sweetness of cherries to create a truly distinctive drinking experience.

The name Ratafià originates from the Latin expression “ut rata fiat”, meaning “let the agreement be ratified”. Historically, it was customary to drink Ratafià after the signing of a notarial contract, symbolising trust, commitment and the sealing of an agreement. It is a liqueur deeply rooted in local tradition and cultural heritage.

Traditionally prepared by the women of the household and enjoyed by the men, Ratafià became an integral part of Abruzzo's rural customs and celebrations.
