Marjoram is part of the Lamiaceae family and is native to Asia Minor. It has a taste and aroma similar to oregano but much more delicate and is a fundamental ingredient for some flavour mixes, especially Provençal ones. Marjoram leaves have the aromatic scent typical of Mediterranean cuisine where they are widely used both for vegetable dishes and for meat and fish.
