The bird's eye, probably originating from Africa, is the most widespread chilli pepper in the world. It is also currently cultivated in India, Mexico and Italy. They are small chilli peppers with a maximum length of 2 cm, red and dried without stems. The bird’s eye has a pungent and unexpected spiciness for its small size.
