Akrille - Nero d'Avola DOC Sicilia, 0,75l

Born under the warm Mediterranean sun of southeastern Sicily, Akrille Nero d'Avola showcases the island’s most celebrated red grape variety in its purest form. Nero d'Avola has long been regarded as the soul of Sicilian red wine, producing wines of richness, warmth and unmistakable regional character.

The grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness between late September and early October before undergoing traditional red winemaking and careful maturation, preserving both freshness and depth.

In the glass, it displays a deep ruby-red colour. The bouquet is dominated by ripe plum and morello cherry aromas, supported by subtle hints of wild berries. The palate is full-bodied and generous, offering warmth and concentration balanced by smooth, well-integrated tannins. Lingering notes of red berries and cherry carry through to a satisfying finish.

An excellent companion to slow-cooked beef dishes, roasted red meats and mature cheeses, particularly traditional Sicilian specialities.
