The Pedemontis Betlem Barbera d’Alba DOC Superiore is the flagship wine of the estate, produced from a single vineyard on the Betlemme hill. The terroir is characterised by complex soils composed of limestone, sand, clay and chalky sulphur formations, giving the wine remarkable structure and depth.
Hand-harvested Barbera grapes are fermented with native yeasts and aged for nearly a year partly in tonneaux and partly in barriques, adding complexity and elegance.

Details
The wine shows an intense ruby red colour with purple reflections. Aromas of black plum and blackberry dominate the bouquet, supported by rich fruit notes. Full-bodied, structured and vibrant, this premium Italian wine from Piedmont is ideal with game, roasted meats, hearty pasta dishes and mature cheeses, but can also be enjoyed on its own as a meditation wine.
