Grissino is a typical Piedmont chopsticks. According to tradition, grissino was born in 1679, when Antonio Brunero, a baker in Lanzoi prepared that, when directed by a doctor in the court for Viktor Amadee II, who couldn't digest the bread. Napoleon Bonaparte was also a great lover, so much that he had established a courier service between Torino and Paris, whose primary task was to transport grissini, which he called les petits bâtons de Turin.
